This Message Was Meant to Find You

It’s time to commit yourself wholeheartedly to your dreams.

You’ve grown so much and you’re not the same person you used to be.

If you feel stuck, know this: you are not.

You are at a pivotal point on your journey. You have one foot in the past, holding onto old ways of being and old habits that don’t resonate with who you’re becoming, or who you desire to become. You have one foot in the future, implementing new changes that reflect this next version of you.

Release your attachment to what you’ve outgrown. Grieve, mourn, hold space. Give gratitude for that stepping stone on your journey.

The key is this: there is no becoming, you already are. It exists within you and has existed all along.

It’s not something to seek outside of yourself and acquire.

All you have to do is let go of what stands in the way of embodying that version of you. The doubts, the fear, the insecurities, the limiting beliefs, the narratives, the habits, the excuses— let it go and see what has been ever-shining beneath the muck, like the lotus that rises from muddy waters.

You’re attached to your suffering because you identify with it; you identify with your suffering because you’ve attached yourself to it. If you knew who you truly were, you would not allow yourself to believe or accept these untruths.

Loss of identity, death of the ego, is difficult and scary. It is dying a non-physical death. Without this, who am I? Without this story, without this belief, without this addiction, without these habits, without these circumstances, I am nothing. This is what makes me, me.

You are none of those things.

When you enter a meditative state, you will find that you are none of the things you label yourself as. Titles and descriptions are for the three-dimensional, physical world— for the things you can see. I am a boss, I am a brother, I am a banker. That is your avatar, who you are in this lifetime.

Beneath the titles and the things you do are who you truly are. Beneath the avatar is the soul, and your soul is what moves through dimensions and incarnations. It is everlasting and ever-present, radiating quietly beneath your persona until you connect with it.

This is the homecoming you’ve been looking for.

When you realize that life is not happening to you, but it is happening and you are experiencing it in a way that will help you grow if you are open to it.

There are always choices available to you. You can always choose, at any time, to let go, to grow, to forgive, to start anew. It is also a choice to hold on, to stagnate, to resent, to hold yourself back.

Notice that any limitations are ones you create for yourself. When you are honest with yourself, you will see that the only thing stopping you is yourself. Isn’t that wonderful? You have control only over your own actions and reactions, so you are entirely free to free yourself. You do not have to wait for anyone or anything, you do not need permission or validation except from yourself.

You already know what you need to do.

So what are you waiting for?
